The Acer has a "cheap plastic" look about it, and the keyboard and touchpad is not as nice looking as the Lenovo. If you care about the notebooks specifications e.g processor etc, both of the brands are good. Before you begin to use it, don't set up a windows password, leave it blank and make a Recovery DVD Backup as I don't think they provide you with restore dvds.
